New Jersey has a number of programs that can help technology entrepreneurs – and it is about to add a new one that will leverage New Jersey’s existing base of entrepreneurs:
New Jersey is seeking to create a new-company "accelerator" program to nurture technology entrepreneurs through mentoring. Similar programs have been successful elsewhere.
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority is seeking proposals and ideas from technology specialists on how to create the program, hoping to bolster innovation at the earliest stages of a company’s growth….Agency officials said that although the state has other programs designed to stimulate technology development, the focus of the planned accelerator is more on harnessing the expertise of existing, seasoned entrepreneurs in and around New Jersey.
